Neighborhood Thrift is Step 5 of The Well Community Church’s ENP involvement. It’s goal is to become a redistribution center for the neighborhood of Susan B. Anthony. By providing residents of the neighborhood with affordable necessities such as clothing at a very low cost Neighborhood Thrift Store is benefiting its community members and developing relationships along the way.

Long-term goals of the store include developing a job training program for neighborhood residents in order to come along side of them in work experience in retail, merchandising and organizational skills.

A: Through relationships with The Well Community Church’s “Target Ministry” of the neighborhood of Susan B Anthony, we found that residents in the neighborhood are in need of low priced goods such as clothing, household items and other essentials that the neighborhood could use. The store has been a ministry of getting to know its residents in the surrounding area and providing for their needs in several different ways.
